One book and three articles which focus on the spectacular discovery of the Caryatids and other sculptures, just like the antiquarian texts of previous centuries: they just talk about statues and treasures. The excavation was a great missed opportunity, the documentation is scarce, the information on the stratigraphy non-existent. A great opportunity was missed. There is nothing scientific, only the reconstruction of the water system. The anastylosis of the colonnade of the Euripus is not supported by accurate data, and so is the arrangement of the statues. Much more could have been done.
